The Pineapple Plant, or if you want to call it by its latin name, Ananas Comosus, is one of our most exciting, exotic indoor plants and fruiting houseplants! It is actually part of the bromeliad family and is native to the Brazilian rainforests and tropics of Central/South America. With its tough, arched, purple leaves and contrasting vibrant pineapple growing out of the middle, the Pineapple Plant will bring beauty, and eventual food, to your space!

Being that it’s from a tropical environment, it thrives in moderate to high humidity, warm temperatures, drier soil, very bright indirect light to direct light for it to fruit and will grow up to 2 to 3 ft tall indoors. Its easy going nature makes it one of those plants that are easy to keep alive! Their ideal conditions make them great as windowsill plants or for a place with lots of sun as it is one of the few plants that like direct sunlight!
