Commonly known as the Emerald Ripple Pepper, or the Radiator Plant, this compact peperomia variety is native to the tropics of Central and South America. With its small, pointy, dark, deeply ribbed leaves with contrasting red undersides and long green spadix’s, the dark-leaved Rosso is bound to pop against the vibrant greens of other plants, and especially white walls!
Being that it’s from a tropical environment, it thrives in high humidity, slightly dry soil, warm temperatures, medium to indirect bright light and will reach up to 8 to 9 inches indoors. They are also idea for growing in low or fluorescent light which makes them great office cubicle plants or desk plants! They are great for small spaces that get a decent amount of light!
Over time this plant may lose some leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle.
