Commonly known as the Umbrella Tree, or the Dwarf Hawaiian Schefflera, this multi-trunk tree is native to Taiwan and South China. With its drooping, umbrella-like green and yellow variegated leaves, which all originate from the same point, the Schefflera Arboricola is a unique, tree-shaped plant that is sure to bring the outdoors into your home!
Being that it’s from a tropical environment, it thrives in moderate humidity, medium to bright indirect light, warm temperatures, slightly moist soil and will grow anywhere from 4 – 8 ft. tall indoors. This makes them great to place on a desktop, bookcase, cubby or small nook in your home that is well-lit, but doesn’t get direct light. Over time this plant may drop some leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle.
