Commonly known as the Hound’s Tongue Fern, this naturally epiphytic plant is native to Australia and New Zealand. With its odd, kangaroo-paw shaped deep green leaves this fern is sure to bring the forest to your space!
Being that it’s from a tropical environment, it thrives in low to indirect bright light, warm temperatures, high humidity, consistently moist soil and will grow up to a foot tall indoors. Their compact growing nature and tolerance of ranging light levels makes them great for just about anywhere in your space from a darker cubby to a bright countertop! Be sure to keep them out of direct light though!
Over time this plant may lose some of its leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle.
