Extra Large Ficus ‘Green Island’

ANOTHER Ficus? Don’t let the Ficus name scare you, the ‘Green Island’ ficus is actually easier care than many of its cousins in the Ficus family, like a Rubber Plant!

In fact, the plant was recognized by the FNGLA (Florida Nurserymen, Growers, and Landscape Association) as a plant of the year because of its no fuss nature! See, unlike most other Ficus that will shed leaves at the slightest inconvenience, the ‘Green Island’ will not shed, as much* (any plant can shed leaves).

Ficus ‘Green Island’ has a sweet and simple structure, small round leaves making a tree shape, nothing crazy but the plant makes an elegant addition to any space that has the plant! So if you were always fond of Ficus plants, and want a simple, easy care tree plant, look no further than the ‘Green Island’!

The ‘Green Island’ won’t grow as fast as you think it will, they will take a while to push out new thick silky leaves and will naturally spread out as it grows!

Keep the plant in a spot that is at least naturally ‘well lit’ (more light the better), and water it thoroughly when the first 2 inches of the soil dries out!
