Commonly known as the Fountain Palm, this slow growing palm is native to the asian subtropics such as southern Japan, Taiwan, the Ryukyu Islands, southeastern China and Hainan. With its awe-inspiring, vibrant, deeply cleft, radially projecting leaves, the Chinese Fan Palm will bring a jungle feel to your space, as well as leave a lasting impression on your guests!
Being that it’s from a subtropical environment, it thrives in moderate to high humidity, slightly moist soil, warm temperatures, indirect bright light and will grow up to 8 ft. tall and 5 ft. wide indoors. This makes them great as statement plants in a large, brightly lit area in your space, such as a lobby, foyer or big living room! Over time this plant may lose some of its lower leaves, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle.
