Coming from a huge family of succulents, the Ghost Echeveria is native to the mountain ranges of Central America and South America. With its chalky, broad, petal-shaped leaves and eventual contrasting reddish pink flowers, it is sure to draw attention in your household! If your pets are interested in it as well, don’t be alarmed, it is a non-toxic, pet friendly plant!
Being that it’s from a temperate environment, it thrives in low humidity, bright to direct light, low moisture levels in its soil and will grow up to 6 – 8 inches indoors. This makes them great for placement on a well-lit desktop, windowsill, countertop, bookcase or cubby in your home. If given proper light and love, they will produce a long, leggy stem with flowers! Over time this plant may lose some of its “petals”, but don’t be alarmed, this is just a natural occurrence in the plant’s life cycle and you can easily propagate yourself a new echeveria with the pieces that fell off!
